2
Pinnawela - Kandalama
After breakfast at Cinnamon Grand Hotel proceed Kandalama, en route visit the Elephant Orphanage. Pinnawala… the Elephant Orphanage located on the banks of the Maha Oya, is mainly to house young elephants who find themselves displaced and lost from their natural habitats for various reasons – environmental changes due to development projects, being abandoned by their parents when they fall into pits and ravines, etc. It is most interesting to visit at feeding or bathing time. Transfer from Pinnawala to Kandalama and check in at Heritance Kandalama Hotel. Dinner & overnight at Hetitance Kandalama Hotel.

3
Sigiriya - Polonnaruwa - Kandalama
After breakfast climb the Sigiriya rock fortress… Climb the 5th century Sigiriya rock fortress that is a world heritage site, built by King Kashyapa (477-495 AD). The 'Lion Rock' is a citadel of unusual beauty rising 200 metres from the scrub jungle. The rock was the innermost stronghold of the 70 hectare fortified town. A moat, rampart, and extensive gardens including the renowned water gardens ring the base of the rock. Visit the world-renowned frescoes of the 'Heavenly Maidens' of Sigiriya, which are in a sheltered pocket of the rock approached by a spiral stairway. These frescoes are painted in earth pigments on plaster. Return to hotel relax for a while and proceed on a city tour of Polonnaruwa. Polonnaruwa, which was the 2nd capital city of Sri Lanka, built in the 11th and 12th centuries AD, and which is a world heritage site. Here you can see the ruins of the Royal Palace, the Gal Viharaya where 4 splendid statues of the Buddha in 'Upright', 'Sedentary' and 'Recumbent' postures carved out of rock could be seen, the Audience Hall, the Lotus Bath, the statue of king Parakramabahu, and the Parakrama Samudraya - a lake built by King Parakramabahu the great. There are also monuments of famous places of worship such as the Shiva Temple, the Lankathilake, the Watadage, the Galpotha, the Kiri Vehera and the remains of a former Temple of the Tooth Relic. Dinner & overnight at Heritance Kandalama Hotel.

4
Kandy - Dambulla
After breakfast proceed to Kandy, en route visit the Dambulla cave temple… Dambulla... the Dambulla cave temple is by far the most impressive of all the many cave temples in Sri Lanka. Among the cave’s numerous statues – there are 48 of the Buddha alone – are images of Upulvan (Vishnu) and Saman dating from the 12th Century (they may be the earliest devala statues to appear in a Buddhist image house). The cave’s history dates to the 2nd or 1st Century BC, when King Valagam Bahu took refuge here after being driven out of Anuradhapura by invading armies. Transfer form Dambulla to Kandy and check in at Mahaweli Reach Hotel and relax. In the evening proceed on a city tour. Kandy… this royal city, sheltered by the hills and looped by the Mahaweli – Sri Lanka’s longest river, still holds religious and cultural significance. A stroll around the sleepy, but serene Kandy Lake, where balmy winds waft across, a walk through the Royal Botanical Gardens located at Peradeniya and a visit to the University of Peradeniya – the spacious green campus laid out near the banks of the Mahaweli is a must for any visitor to Kandy. Late in the evening views a cultural Kandyan dance performance. Dinner and overnight stay at Mahaweli Reach Hotel.

5
Kandy - Colombo
Proceed to Colombo after breakfast at Mahaweli Reach Hotel. Check in at Cinnamon Grand Hotel and relax. In the evening proceed on a Colombo city and shopping tour. COLOMBO… Sri Lanka’s capital up to recent times, spread along the shore of the Indian Ocean for some miles, where business and commerce begin and end. A drive through the city will take you to Colombo’s most fashionable residential district - the Cinnamon Gardens and the Pettah, Colombo’s busiest and most traditional bazaar area. Visits to the Hindu temple with elaborate stone carvings, the Dutch Church at Wolfendhal dating back to 1749, the historic Devatgahaha mosque and the Gangarama Temple. While the city holds less obvious interest than many other parts of the island, it's still a colorful enough place and worth a visit to see what makes Sri Lanka tick. Return to the hotel and relax. Dinner and overnight at Cinnamon Grand Hotel.

6
Colombo - Airport
Proceed to airport for departure flight from Cinnamon Grand hotel….
